Tugun
Tugun may be small, but it’s still fun. Tugun and Tugun Hill are tucked away from mainstream traffic with a wonderful stretch of beach.
A long-time holiday favourite, this area has plenty to offer – the Currumbin Oceanway begins at Tugun Surf Club and is a great walk in south-east Queensland. Take a detour and pass over a quaint bridge through Kropp Park. Here’s a secret – hidden wetlands are tucked away from the beach.
There’s a range of accommodation and restaurants – to increase the heart rate try skydiving or an aerial adventure from nearby Gold Coast Airport. The southern suburb of Bilinga is located close by.
